Working with the Little Kids Rock foundations has been one of the most rewarding projects I've ever worked on in class. I wish most of our grade came from that project since I dedicated so much of my time to making sure it happened succesfully.
I never realized how much one could learn from practical experience but I feel this is the only way to learn PR.
what I found most challenging about this project was staying organized and on top of dates. We had everything set up with class one concerts ahead of time so we didn't realize until close to the concert date how much more work we had to do.
What I found the most surprising was my ability to make media calls and get donations. Once I had my sales pitch down and spoke with confidence about the importance of our Non-Profit, I recieved a better response.
Thanks for thinking of Little Kids Rock and taking on this project to help restore and revitalize music programs in the public schools. I hope it was fun, in addition to being a practicum for your coursework.
